Another Winner...!

Whatever the Cards are mixing in their Cheerios, where can I get some?! The game got a little tight in the ninth inning tonight, but the Cards hang on for a 5-4 win vs. the Brewers. Adam Wainwright was fantastic on the mound and at the plate. He tossed 7 2/3 innings and gave up just one earned run. He also had a single and a solo home run tonight.

Pujols had two big RBIs in the first inning to set the tone, as well as a clutch defensive play in the ninth inning. Pujols snared a Jason Kendall line drive, preventing the tying run from coming home from second base.

A lot of naysayers doubted whether the Cards were "for real," and said their initial success was due in large part to games played vs. teams like the Nationals and Giants. Well, the Cards are now 2-for-2 vs. the Brewers, a team many picked to win the division. Again, it's VERY early. But you have to love what you've seen so far Cardinal fans!

The Cards are now 7-1 at Busch this season and 11-4 overall. Kyle Lohse toes the rubber tomorrow, as the Cards go for a sweep.
